Palm Treo 750

In recent times, the latest Windows Mobile devices have been manufactured with a dedicated multimedia audio speaker to improve the volume and quality of audio on these devices.
This new addition to windows mobile devices calls for a little clarification in regards to how to use SecureGSM applications effectively with new devices.

For the majority of new devices, the multimedia speaker is located on the rear (back) of the device. Because the sound rendered during a secure call must be routed to the multimedia speaker,
it is important to understand that, during a SecureGSM call, the multimedia speaker should be held to the ear to ensure optimal results.

SecureGSM applications are designed and thoroughly tested to ensure that the audio volume is set to the level of comfort when the multimedia speaker is held directly to the operator’s ear.

The image to the left shows the location of the multimedia speaker.

Note: the use of the standard phone speaker for SecureGSM calls is not possible due to the hardware design of devices, which prevents us from routing the audio signal to that speaker.
