Status Messages

The following messages will appear in the Status Bar during SecureGSM™ SP program operation.

"Ready"

The SecureGSM™ SP application is ready to make and receive secure communications

"Calling"

The SecureGSM™ SP application is calling (dialing) an outgoing call.

"Line connected. Negotiating"

The call has been successfully dialed and the SecureGSM™ SP application is negotiating with the called device to establish a valid communication condition.

"Exchanging keys"

The SecureGSM™ SP application is exchanging public keys upon receiving successful user input from the Party Verification module.

*Note: SecureGSM™ SP Evaluation will display  "Emulating Key Exchange".

"Line secure. Strong encryption"

This message appears throughout a secure communication session and indicates that communications are secure. During an active call, the phone number you are connected to will also be periodically displayed.

*Note: SecureGSM™ SP Evaluation will display  "Line secure. WARNING: Low encryption"

"Disconnecting"

The SecureGSM™ SP application is disconnecting as a result from a user request or an application error.

"Warning! SecureGSM is disabled!"

The SecureGSM™ SP application has been disabled. Information on how to enable/disable the SecureGSM™ SP application is in the "Tools Menu" and "The Program Status Indicator" topics under the Program Operation heading.

"Error"

The SecureGSM™ SP application is installed on a device with no phone functionality (ie. the device is not a "phone enabled device").
